Can an old phone or laptop still get you back in?
Often, yes: a device that's still logged in, or one you've used before, is among the strongest signals Facebook has. Meta's December 2025 update said its systems now recognize the device you usually use and familiar locations better than ever. Dig out the phone in the drawer, the work laptop, a tablet or a family member's computer where you once signed in.
